How does anyone eat that many pancakes at IHOP???
I went to el Torito (Mexican restaurant) and ordered their unlimited burrito entre. Your first burrito is big, and then all subsequent ones are tiny. Moreover, they take forever to bring you a burrito refill…on purpose of course…and after a few refills the waitress pressures you into leaving. They claim they have to make each burrito from scratch and that is why it takes so long to refill, but it is also a tactic to get you to leave, since most patrons don’t have the patience to wait that long for each refill. They also refuse to bring you multiple burritos at once, since you may not eat them all, and either end up wasting them or wanting to take them home.
The same applies to Red Robin’s unlimited fries, and Olive Garden’s Unlimited Pasta Bowl, and Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp.
The wait also staff gets irritated since you are costing them tips by taking up a table for 5 hours.

its all bull. Wait till you hit 15 or 20 if you can get to that number. You will run smack into a wall . Its a near impossibility to do 46 unless your name is chestnut pat sonya shoudt or Kobe

Ben documented his 50-pancake feat pretty well, and from what I remember reading he actually left out of boredom not satisfaction.

Ron Koch also documented his 50 pancakes in 2008.

the wrecking ball can eat 150 pancakes in 10 minutes if he wanted to. Look out Joey Chestnut. He will be the 2011 Nathan’s Champ and wear the coveted mustard belt!

Anon 11:15, it is not difficult to hit 15-20 at all; I’ve done it a few times – not for a challenge, but just for a breakfast. Both times was asked to stop by people whom I was with who were getn tired after eating their 3 stack lol. What I do is tell the waitress right from the start that I would like my orders to come 2 at a time and they’ve been happy to accommodate that request, afterall..it means less trips for them 🙂 Given the fact that I am no way as good a capacity eater as most of these eaters, I can see 40+ being quite common amongst them.
