Youtube has a promo for I'm a Major League Eater, which will be televised on the Biography Channel on July 8. Tim Janus, Crazy Legs Conti, Juliet Lee and Tim Brown will be the featured eaters.

    i admit it is a good promo but going from MTV true life to the bio channel is a step backward not forward. That seems to be the pattern of late with CE documentaries

    In the promo, Tim said “(Juliet) cheats and she knows it’s wrong. She knows what’s happening.”

    I wonder if that’s his true opinion or if it was just for the cameras.

    Mega, given the popularity of reality television, I think it’s both. True or not, many viewers will probably eat it up (no pun intended). It makes a great storyline and she plays the part well. Her skin is rawhide-tough and I don’t know, but accusations don’t seem to phase her one iota. She’s a tough one.

    This should be more entertaining, but not too serious TV programming. I’m not sure how deep the general public really wants to get into the world of competitive eating, once they get past the “wow” factor. It’s good business for MLE to have three camera-friendly people to act as the media “face,” though.

    I agree with Rhonda, and would speculate that Juliet is probably pound-for-pound the toughest cookie in CE. I think she’s had to be in order to succeed in a male-dominated game where only one other woman has really made a mark with the public.

    She seems like a very sweet, very attractive, but very sharp woman as Tim Brown said in the promo, but I think you nailed it Rhonda – until you’ve lost to her, you might not realize just how good she really is. But Eater X should know, since she recently handed him his butt.

    Megamunch any derogatory comment about another CE, on a tv show is usually set up by the Shea’s for pure entertainment. More than likely he was told to say that about Juliet. . In eats of strength they played up crazy legs as the cheater in hotdogs against Joe Larue .

    Yo does Gravy really have a P.R. team? LMAO Thats crazy….He has a great, interesting personality, im a fan!!!! I can see why he got so much air time. We need more people like him in the sport. I also think if Juliet worked on her english it could help her come across better. She looked really good on camera.

    I remember talking to gravy at the “07, 08” nathans final, and the spike tv shows. He was down to earth and cool as hell, and I can see that he has’nt changed a bit….Awesome job on the BIO show man!!!!
