Janus, Simpson, Bubba at ATL Krystal qualifier

Krystalsquareoff.com announces that Tim “Eater X” Janus and Chip “Burger” Simpson are expected at the Atlanta qualifier. This will be the first matchup of top 10 ranked eaters in a qualifier. Loren “Bubba” Yarbrough and Paul “BoneBreaker” Barlow are among the expected entrants representing Georgia. The contest could see the return of the mystery eater who reportedly gave Joey Chestnut and Sonya Thomas everything they could handle at the waffle eating contest before DQing.

Updated 3:07 pm – The preliminaries will be held throughout the Atlanta area and will start tomorrow at the Georgia Tech football stadium:

September 21 Georgia Tech Football 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

The way Chip has been eating lately I might give him a slight advantage but this one is pretty much a toss up between Tim and Chip. Should be a good matchup.

Hey!! what about me, I betcha……oh, wait….never mind. Chip is fantastic, BUT I predict Tim will rise to the occasion, just like at Nathan’s. In order to be the X man, you gotta beat the X man!!
Either way, you can beat their totals will be enough to both get in the finals. Don’t count out Bubba, however, Krystals seems to be his best food, and I at least expect to get in the high 20’s!!

Eater X has 15 stitches in his face and only half the jaw action he normally has. Forty might be asking a lot.

I am so sorry to hear that Tim has stitches. If he didn’t have then he’d eat about 42 – 44. I hope he does anyway. I believe Chip will eat 47 – 50. Bubba, I hope you and Bonecrusher do over 30. And if Sonya’s talented young friend shows up, he will might do around 36 or more.

    Two things

    1. Expect Dale Boone to show up at the finals and talk trash even though he would come in around 6h if he did compete. Well actually I guess he would be in 6th place before he puked.

    2. I think that the way that both TIm and Chip have been eating that they could go higher than Humble Bob and Joey. That is not to say they will beat them in the finals but I think one or both could beat their qualifying number as both Bob and Joey did eat the day before their qualifiers and Tim and Chip will not have done so.

Go Bubba! Great way to go about it. You do what you can and everything will take care of itself. I will see you in Chattanooga!

Bone Crusher Barlow has been inducted into the United Eaters of Pennsylvania, and as such will deliver a devistating blow to the egos of those at the center of the table. No longer will the table enders be overlooked or have their food go uncounted and unweighed!!!!

    Eat Paul!!! EAT!!!!!!!!

Rhonda, if Eater X were healthy, he’d eat 100 burgers, and you’d eat your words. 42-44? Come on!
