    Wild Bill – I’ve always thought he did this site (Hi, BIll!), and have put on semi-insulting, and horrible comments about him to see if they get deleted just to mess with him……and they have been! You should have read my eaters vs elephants mean joke…it was mean, and fabulous!! But, Bill, seriously, we love you and all your stat keeping…I know I wouldn’t do all that work!

    Not sure if this point has ever been raised on here, but the origin of the pseudonym “OJ Rifkin” is likely from the episode of Seinfeld in which Elaine is dating a guy named Joel Rifkin. Joel Rifkin is also the name of a real life NYC serial killer, which is why Elaine suggested that her boyfriend change his first name to OJ (among other proposed alternatives).

    Seinfeld is set in NYC. Does that mean OJ Rifkin is from New York? Probably not, but it’s possible. That doesn’t really narrow things down much, considering half of the competitive eating community is from NYC. (The other half is from Pennsylvania.)
