Congratulations GJoe. I doubt many people would turn down an opportunity to pick up a few C-notes for doing a few minutes’ work. I also doubt that too many people have your ability, though they likely will not admit it.

    I shaved during the summer.

I didn’t say the competition was stiff, especially this year.

In the past Bill Stoeberski competed. He doesn’t enter anymore because he knows he can’t beat me in THIS contest. (He is a distance eater) He has told me that.

ANYONE on the planet can compete in this contest. Unlike fed events, which are for a chosen few. Anytime one of you fed guys want to put on a mask, or makeup, or whatever, I won’t out you win or lose. Its on Fat Tuesday every year. (I’d call just to be sure) Yes, its only $200. (Not bad for waking up & eating…twice as much as I might on my own) For you New York, New Jersey, or Pa. guys its alot more than you get for losing a fed event! More than likely, i’ll put up some $$$ against you as well to make it worth your while.

While this is a ‘small’ event, I do receive an amazingly strange amount of coverage for it. This helps me in tickets just as Cookie’s attention helped him in Real Estate & probably helped Booker in Music.

Menchetti why do you always have to put up money when someone questions your eating ability?

I think its the easiest way to shut you wannabe’s or never was, up. That is why! I don’t see anyone taking me up on it, do you? I also like taking money from people who talk sh#t. What would you do?! Besides not have voluntarily left the ifoce in the 1st place?!

While you can’t see it on line, front page above the fold in the Ct Post & Nh Register. Not bad for a big fish in a tiny pond. I’ll take it…. every F&cking year.

That’s a shame about Roasty’s. Those sandwichs were VERY tasty. At $4.55 each? They should be.

I thought I saw something about the 2nd ave deli closing too.

    Thanks…anonymous

No more than 1, possibly 2 of the top 20 or so IFOCE eaters post on this site on even a semi-routine basis. The bitching and moaning you see is primarily by disgruntled, talent-deprived, eaters, or visitors in general, who have little or no respect for themselves or others. Misery loves company. They are miserable and want others to wallow in their thickening stew of misguided emotions.

Additionally, I think that overall, with few exceptions, most of the 10 or so eaters from both organizations who do semi-frequently leave feedback on eatfeats have it together.

Its not bad money when the 6th and 7th place finishers often get several hundred dollars. Why don’t you just leave it alone. It is not hurting you. If you dislike the IFOCE leave it. If you are not in MLE, then you should be happy. So why bicker.

I compete in the Paczki eating event, not to win the cash prize, but rather to raise awareness of the type of childhood CANCER that took the life of my seven year old daughter Sydney. That cancer is called NEUROBLASTOMA!!!!!!!! Gentleman Joe wins pretty easily and he is generally amicable except when he has to share the press.
