The guy MCing the event is so lame, I got bored after 10 seconds and whats up with Joey wearing a shirt different then everyone else, he just sucks, i’m so over his boring ass

not to mention he uses those same monologue over and over again about the son and the gallows. Im surprised he didn’t use the line “this man knows what he ate for breakfast on march 11 1989” Ha ha ha

I agree with him wearing a different shirt. They need to do that to make him stand out a little bit so the non-CE fans in the crowd aren’t saying to each other “Which one is Joey Chitwood?”
I agree that George’s lines are getting old, but only because we’ve all heard them a thousand times. To people who’ve never heard them, they might seem clever (or they might seem contrived and self-indulgent). George still seemed like he was phoning it in though. A very boring contest and I blame the announcing for that every time.
No to mention, it was kind of weird/rude of George to focus all of his commentary on Joey and completely ignore the other 10 or 12 eaters at the table… at least in the clip I saw. If you’re just going to focus on Joey, even though second place probably ate a quarter of what Joey ate, then you might as well have Joey standing up there all along on a stage eating ice cream.
