Paul Barlow says an unknown eater matched Joey & Sonya in the first half of the contest up until about 11 waffles, then had a DQ.
It will be interesting to see what contests (if any) Sonya does before the Krystal finals. Sonya did not compete between Labor Day weekend and Halloween weekend last year.

In the future anyone in the IFOCE or anyone in general that requests to be my friend on the myspace page , dont take the liberty of advertising or promoting an IFOCE contest or your personal appearance on my bulletin page without my consent.It doesnt necessarily have to be IFOCE it can be anyone trying to promote themselves and using my page to do so is pretty shitty tactic if you ask me. You have your own myspace page to hype this on . I am not an IFOCE partner nor do i profit or make any money hyping these sponsors . On the flip side i promote certain IFOCE events on my website and my website only because i choose to do so at my leisure.I am on good terms with the people in the IFOCE and i report the news out of the goodness of my heart without drawing a dime or any type of salary from it. Get that through your head Super Paul and the waffle bulletin you left not once but three times!

Dale Boone was a Waffle counter for Chip Simpson. This unnamed person actually kept up and above joey until about 16 Waffles then ?? something happened. We will be seing this guy in the future I bet.

Brian,
When someone posts a bulletin it automatically posts to everyone in the freinds list. I don’t believe you were targeted specifically just the way the whole Myspace thing works.
It was to bad you didn’t get off of work for the Buffalo contest I was looking forward to reading about the contest on your site.

No problem its just that when i see someone else’s bulletin on myspace without asking me first it makes it appear that someone is taking liberties. Others have left sexually graphic bulletins and i just as well removed them as friends . I think they have it set now so that i can approve it first. No way i was coming out to Buffalo with that storm unless i left friday morning which was a no go . Trees and light poles were KO’d in my neighborhood and no electricity and this is nyc yet! I might have made an extra effort if i was the defending champ or had a shot of coming in the top three . I really was looking forward to heading out there but thats the way the cookie crumbles

Brian, I apologize for promoting our sport…For a man who broadcasts over the internet, I’m stunned that you would take offense to letting the world know we had an eating contest.
The reason I put the bulletins up a few times was because people are on Myspace.com at different times, so way not make sure they all know about it?? And Bubba’s right, when you send a bulletin, it goes to everybody on your list, you can’t pick and choose!!
By the way, do you think that 5/6ths of us make any money doing this either?? You take yourself way too seriously, my friend…
If having fun, and promoting IFOCE contests is bothering you, take me off your friends list….Whatever pickle you ate this morning, it must have been pretty sour!! Lighten up, and I still look forward to meeting you at some contest in the future, that I will again try to hype shamelessly!!

nah, the guy that was keeping up with joey until the mid point, did have a reversal at the end of the contest before he could get what was finished in his mouth. I was the guy beside him, Shane . I believe boone thought I had a reversal when I stepped back, noting his comment above.
