Didn’t Furious Pete or some other high profile eater ask for donations last year to fund his world tour or something like that?

do the sheas get a cut of that??

why do you care if the shea’s get a cut?

i would question the Sheas getting a cut from this . They would rather not rock the boat when it comes to their #1 eater . Rumor has it they pay him a modest yearly salary along with the appearance fees and endorsements just to keep him happy

The comment section in latest canoli post is closed i wonder why. The last one was something for the records. BTW after viewing the pic in this post its obvious Seiken does not look like someone that picks up chicks

regardless of whether or not he looks like someone that picks up chicks no doubt he should be ranked #49 when the revised rankings come out if they ever come out

what do you care if i ask if the sheas get a cut

The Sheas are not that greedy Sometimes they allow you to keep whatever is coming to you without asking for a percentage. Case in point i was told that George Shea did not ask Seiken for a cut when he gave him a quarter for the parking meter in 2003

@12:20, of course Seiken picks up chicks. Just look at him in that pic. The stained doo rag, members only jacket from 1980, that manly pose with his big 2 car garage nose, open mouth and bacteria laden tongue hanging out. Any woman would be a fool not to be attracted to that.

The 50 something year old chick magnet is a great catch. Think of all he has to offer. Nice home, charming personality, culinary skills beyond belief. I personally cannot believe he isn’t taken.

Bookers victory only proves that one of the old school eaters hung around and stood the test of time. What did jarvis hardy lerman and krazy kevin accomplish by retiring? Absolute nothing. They could have continued competing like Booker. Now what do they have to show for it? Nothing nobody even remembers their names.

Why would anyone pay $29 dollars for Joeys autograph? Whats it worth? What will it be worth in twenty years? Are they all nuts?

Would rather have a Kobayashi autograph. At least people will know who he is.

It would be interesting if someone came in the shop of that pawnstars show with a nathans tea shirt signed by Joey while rick is giving everyone a history lesson like he does in other episodes. He buys it off this guy for a couple hundred bucks while the old man chews him out ” son how the hell am i gonna make any money off this”?

That’s not even right to charge people for your autograph! Kobi gave me his autograph for free!

What does he have to do with Philly? Isn’t he from LA? This just seems stupid. Who would pay for an autograph?

1015 it appears that someone has nothing better to do with their time. Question? How are those photos going to impact your life ? Will it make it any better or worse than it is already?

Bob Shoudt makes a pretty penny signing autographs at card shows

I guarantee that charging for autographs is not Joey’s idea. Don’t blame him. Things are seldom as they initially seem.

Its all intertwined with as part of their social media campaign on twitter . Where do you think Joey Jaws is doing this weekend? Another famed twitter post Rumor has it that a top ranked eater from San Jose might be competing in —– contest this weekend. Honestly who cares ? Is this how they expect to gain fans and popularity by promoting a few of their high ranked eaters while the non favorites receive zero publicity . Not to mention out of pocket expenses they incur when competing at the table . Total opposite with Joey Matt Miki Shoudt etc . Sponsor or the Sheas cover most of their expenses if not all and even if that were not the case the prize money they won in past events is parlayed in other events which means zero out of pocket expense for the elite

i think some people, mainly miserable postal workers, fail to realize this is a sports card show. just like any sort of memorabilia show you must pay admission to get in, and pay for autographs. Obviously there is a demand to see people who can win contests.
