Here we go said

Here we go again. Another self proclaimed independent eater looking to make a name for himself . Right there with the Dr Big Times and Furious Petes of the world. The comment referring to his biceps being cannons and not guns, wont win him popularity points on this blog. Just a matter of time before some take a huge disliking to this guy. Might come sooner than you think

I think you are completely wrong.
Yeah sure Randy is a self proclaimed competitive eater….what’s wrong with that? Atlas & Zues PROMOTIONS is his facebook page for god sake. He puts his Youtube videos up to entertain us and promote his achievements. The reason why thousands of people watch eating events is because of its entertainment value. The man has 64 challenges/contests to his name! Can you really dog a guy for being good at what he does in such a short amount of time? He’s dedicated and i really respect that. As for his tee shirt slogan i can understand the negativity. It would seem (without knowing his story) that he is big headed and pompous but take a good look around competitive eating, a good way to be recognized is to stand out. Face paint, mohawks, dreadlocks, or red headbands are some eaters identities…Randy is a big muscular guy, this is how he stands out. I think that this progression of competitive eaters taking care of there physical appearance is not a bad thing, in a way it helps take away a stereotype of the sport. Watching Randy at a competition myself, the man seems like a really nice guy. He is very serious during the contests but a crowd favorite on and off the stage. This “huge disliking” is far-fetched.

Look at all the muscular physiques of the past are they still competing?

3:04 comment is ridiculous. Bigtime stopped competing because he was a surgeon and had a family and didn’t like what was reported about him. End of story there. Who else? Shredder? Similar story. Pete has his own story, so does Randy. They are both interesting stories. New world, get used to it.

I hope he does well. And I think he has and will. That is a pretty huge risk to take, though… quitting your job. I find that to be a bit gut-wrenching. Good luck.
