Ken Hoffman of the Houston Chronicle served as Erik Denmark's judge in the 2011 Nathan's finals. Unlike last year when he judged Juliet Lee, he reported an amount the same as the official result (33.5).

    What’s very odd about Juliet reporting a higher number is that it didn’t even get her into the money. So she pads her numbers for just for the prestige sake of saying she ate more hot dogs. But in the long run everyone knows she padded her numbers and her prestige ultimately suffers. It’s almost pathological the willingness by some to cheat for cheating’s sake.
