Thank you so much for putting in the effort to record and upload (with such promptness too). It is a a great treat for fans located outside of the U.S. and those who might have missed it on Saturday. Thanks again!

Thanks Brian,
I watched it again. I have never seen Koby so emotional. Joey is helping Koby (and others) reach the top of his game. If I had been told that Joey was going to eat over 90 and lose I wouldn’t have believed it. And Pat and Bob, my God! Overall that collection of performances made Krystals III the best, most competitive eating event in history – it outdid Nathan’s hands-down!
X, Rich, Arturo, Seaver, Legs, Chip, Sonya, everybody can feel good.
I know Sonya was probably disappointed, regardless of what she might say on her Web site. She’s prpbably really angry at herself, given her competitive spirit. But as most people know, just when you think she might be misfiring she turns in a BIG performance. I wouldn’t want to be in her way in the next couple or three contests she enters, whatever they are, and regardless of who competes.
She’s dangerous now. (Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned.)

Bob i was referring to OJ’s sarcastic comment when i replied. OJ you still have the most informative site in the world. We would literally go nuts if you werent around. Not a problem Bob i knew some people couldnt catch it or forget to tape it so i hoped i could help. By the way Bob an awesome job with 65.

My pleasure Rhonda & Locust. I thought it was one of the best contests i have ever seen. I always rated Olegs close call over Lerman in the 2002 matzah ball finas as one of the greatest but this one is right there with it. I think Sonya might have gotten caught up in George Shea’s dramatic play by play. Sometimes it can play head games with you when you hear him focus in on a select eater or eaters and you find yourself having to play catchup all the time. Sonya did get off to a good start but she was chewing a bit more than usual. I have never seen numbers close to what i witnessed on saturday great job . Everyone should be proud of their efforts no matter what their final totals were.

Brian, what you say makes much sense about Sonya getting caught up in George’s play by play. Sonya seems to pace herself, based on the competition, and she probably just miscalculated and didn’t have time to recover. But, that’s part of the game, I guess.
By the way, I didn’t mean to leave out my Dale in my previous post. He should be proud of his game too. He has further improved over last year, that’s for sure.

My daughter and I watched from home – best seat in the house!
I have never seen anything like that – and I really thought Joey was done for a couple times, but he rallied back and DANG…what a contest!
Again, congratulations to all the eaters who posted some FABULOUS numbers on Saturday – all ya’ll have something to be proud of!

I was shocked that close to 2,500 viewers on youtube in less than 48hrs watched my pointed screen camera version of the krystal finals. Skinny boy’s direct video feed of the contest had far better quality than the one i posted
