Don is complaining that some of the eaters ignored him? From the process of elimination who could it be? He says subich and booker were cordial to him. It must be the shredder he is referring to . Does not surprise me. He has been known to give people the cold shoulder.

Don, get off it already. At one time you were a great eater. Nowadays you’d be lucky to hang with Sticky Miernicki. Your totals from the contests you did in the past would put you in the middle of the pack now. Your time has come and gone, and while it seems some eaters appreciate your paving the way, the rest are content to pave over you. Enjoy the run you’ve had, but it’s over. Guy’s like Dr. Bigtime, and Erik the Red are so pompous, they couldn’t give a damn what you did in the past. It’s all about them. Don, seriously it’s over.

Hey truth hurts why dont you shove it up your ass. You seem to post only when another eater bitches about an injustice served upon them. Lerman has every right to bitch about being ignored or passed over for something in the sport. Lets see what happens if the ifoce happens to close shop. Don, are you trying to say that you expect everyone to get up when you walk into a room and swarm around you?
A couple of things wrong with the statement you just made here. First, Joe lewis is not a boxing judge, and second, you are no Joe Lewis.
Also, I could imagine those veteran eaters are saying the same thing. They noticed you there, and you ignored them. How rude of you. You should leave CE, because of your arrogance, if nothing else. The kind folks involved in CE don’t want people like you making them look bad.
Go ahead, tell me you didn’t ask for my opinion, so I can tell you again that if you cry and whine in public, people are going to tell you what’s what.

carey , don;t try to turn the augument around and blame me, theses [eople that shuned me have a serius character flaw and Joe lewis did judge a few boxing matches , HE was a champion in his field and i was in mine .they may win medels in eating but have no metal off the competitve eating table . you are one a–hole to say what you did and try to turn it around

Carey to be honest we shook hands and that was it , I was treated like an outsider rookie a stranger rather than someonethat everyone knew in essence i was shuned,for a long time I ‘ve treated like dreck and made out to be a nothing , I don’t deserve that I helped make this sport and I’m sure that after this post some shmuck will say Don Lerman is a friend of mine andwhen you know himhe will be your friend to . like richard nixon said after losing the calf. primery you wont have me to kick around any more goodbye and goodredance..don lerman

Listen, you can’t expect anyone to be your true friend just because of what you did as a competitive eater, and it isn”t like Conti shunned you off. He shook your hand, out of respect, and you wanted more? You are going to meet a lot of different people in competitive eating, and socially normal is not a term to describe many of them. I wouldn’t get bent out of shape about it.

Don those sneaky scumbags that hide behind that office in manhattan never gave you your just due. This along with some of the phonies of the sport that claim they are your friend but ignore you at contests. . I think it would be in your best interests to get together with some of the old school eaters and start your own eating organization. This way you would get the recognition you truly deserve and still be able to compete on some level

Carey brings up a good point. Conti is not socially normal although he might appear to be on the outside, he is just like the rest of the social outcasts of the sport . Many of them have no friends other than the people involved in competitive eating.

Guys … 1st of all its Joe Louis not Lewis, 2nd he never refereed or judged boxing. He did some wrestling when he really was broke and way past boxing prime. You might be thinking of Ali who refereed the main event at Wrestlemania 1… 1984 (MSG). Aside from all that… to compare Don to Joe is ridiculous! Maybe Koby gets that distinction but not Don. Louis held the Heavyweight title for 12years straight …longest ever, for ANY title. Koby held the MustardYellow belt for 1/2 that time… not even close. HOWEVER, because Don is one of the pioneers of the sport he deserves respect and consideration, especially so close to the high holy days… when all are suseptable to Moses’ wrath(via God)
He spearheaded the growth of CE… when only a few had heard about it,and went out to numerous locations knowing there was little or no money on the line. Thats an innovator, that deserves respect

An innovator, a pioneer? Get real you dickbrains. . Lerman is best known for competing against himself more than anything else. Lerman vs Lerman in baked beans is the only standout achievement in Don’s career . Who has he ever beaten to win a title in the sport? Don please don’t tell us about all the eaters you finished ahead of in a contest. I am talking TITLES!. He won the matzah ball title in 2000. Who did he beat that was of any signifigance in the sport? Russel Machoever Krazy Kevin? Lets see what else Jalapenos cloudburger. Name one marquee player or household name in the sport besides “my name jose jimenez” that competed in those events. Ok he beat Joe Larue and Ray Bison to win a Winchell’s doughnut contest in 2004 .Certainly not world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. . I guess Don will reply back with his command of the english language, by reeling off all his matzah ball qualifiers victories . Aside from his impressive trophy room you give the man more credit than Moses deserves . So it shall be written , so it shall be done

i underwent the surgurgy and as of now have no teeth and proberly wont till april , afer the high holidays im going on a strict diet. my dr, tld me its now longer cosmedic to shed the lbs , but a mediacl must rabbi gut yontif,,,donlerman

Don, first it’s your ass , then your foot and now your teeth. The three individuals in your life that i have the most pity for is your dog cammie, your sister and nephew. They have to put up 24/7 hearing you constantly complaining about your ailments. When that falls on deaf ears you pick up the phone calling the Shea’s to rehash all the times you got screwed over in IFOCE events dating back to 2001.
