MyNC has details about the ice cream eating contest Lumpy's is holding at the North Carolina State Fair. Daily qualifiers will take place at 5 pm from October 18 to 22 and the winners of those competitions will compete in the finals October 23 for a $1,000 first prize.

    I have been looking at contests the various fairs hold, and making a list of them – I will have to add this. Now this sounds like one of those contests that would be just a plain lot of messy fun – and I hope its a warm day. Imagine getting all that neat ice cream and money too, WHAT a way to go.
