MaineToday.com has a preview of Saturday’s burrito contest. Sonya Thomas, Tim Janus and Crazy Legs Conti are listed as expected competitors.

    Don Moses Lerman has informed the competitive eating world that he has installed a special device on his website that can trace the name and identity of anyone that posts on his site. This will deter crude individuals from leaving negative remarks about the great Don Lerman. Does anyone know if such a device exists? I think somebody is full of sheeeeeeeeeet

    What does any of the Lerman-centered gibberish have to do with the burrito contest, which I think will be real interesting.

    I’m expecting a close contest between X and Sonya with Sonya pulling it out by about 2 – 3 burritos. Surely, dunbking won’t be allowed, will it?

    Also, how many minutes is this contest? Neither Sonya nor Tim are exactly speedballs, but the stomach capacity of both are among the best in the world.

    Who else will be there? I hope there are enough burritos. Maybe MLE won’t announce the time limit until right before the contest, once they know how many burritos are prepared. If so, that’s a helluva way to run a business.
