Harolds Deli owner is a cheap bastard. He charges $50 for that big sandwich in the slideshow but if you manage to finish it you get shit in return.. No teashirt no free meal, just a stinking piece of cake on the house. I doubt that cake shown in the picture is the one you get for free. Adam Richman stresses that he is no competitive eater ok fine but this is about how much you can consume and he seems to fail a good portion of the time. There are loads of eaters that can consume the same amount of food as adam so what makes him so special. Why because they just happened to pick him to host the show?

Harolds is AWESOME!!
Went there after a funeral with my family and it was a nice distraction to have them bring out 3 huge sandwiches to feed 12 people. Pickle bar with many types of pickles and all the Rye Bread you could eat.
My Great Uncle would have LOVED this placed but unfortunately it was his funeral we had just returned from.

This episode will undoubtedly bring back all the fond memories of the fistfuls of fat sandwiches, liters of draught, and mountains of potachos and bolis I had the pleasure of consuming in fair New Brunswick. Never made it to Harold’s regrettably. I’d like to remedy that situation in the not-so-distant future.

Harold’s isn’t about eating competitions – I know very few people who go there to eat a whole plate of meat on their own. It’s about going as a group and sharing food. Go to the bread bar, make lots of little sandwiches, share – get full. In terms of competitive eating, its just a lot of meat – its not like it hot or a specially hard thing to cook.
Don’t miss anything about Jersey accept the food – miss NYC pizza, boli’s and fat sandwiches (though I rather go to Stewart’s or some other non truck place so I don’t have to stand around with students)

Harolds is the place to go for supersized deli sandwiches , cakes and milkshakes. You might have to spend a few bucks more than you normally spend but its worth it. The deli sandwiches are tremendous. the biggest sandwich is around 50 to 60 bucks but its enough to feed 3 or 4 depending on your appetite. Milkshakes are around 3ft in length
