Manny Cambra ate 21 lobster rolls in 10 minutes to win the eating contest held at the Hampton Beach (NH) Seafood Festival. Defending champion Joe Menchetti ate 16 rolls.

Manny is a solid eater, as most of the muscle heads are. They are used to the dedication and self abuse/denial it takes to master long contests. I have no will or desire to train for this. I am a natural “talent”.
I know this is self serving, but short contests are better. More watchable. It gets boring watching someone eat. Especially with millennials real short attention span. With a set amount of food, you have a better idea of whose winning too. You can visually see it, without counters.
The only good reason to watch a marathon instead of the 100 Meter dash is perceived value, to a sponsor.
Congrats Manny! Hopefully, I can take that title back sometime. Btw, most of you know, reporters often get things wrong. Sorry if I sound like Moses here, but I had 19. If anyone considers any of this excuses, so be it.

Love how Boobchetti always has an excuse for everything. I’d rather be a “muscle head” than a zip code.
