Maria “Edible” reports that Jamie McDonald defended his Bartolini’s meatball title with 61 meatballs after Pat Bertoletti was deducted 3 meatballs from his original total of 63 for not clearing his mouth in 30 seconds.

    @7:45 – Independent eaters like Takeru Kobayashi, Pat Bertoletti, and Jamie McDonald ranked amongst the best in MLE. Who else in the MLE besides Chestnut, Stonie, Sudo, Janus, and Thomas are relevant? In a contest between the top 3 aforementioned independents and MLE’s Chestnut, Stonie (who I firmly believe deserves to be ranked #2, not #4), and either of the other 3 listed, I wouldn’t know which side to put my money on.

    I will always respect Pat as an eater. It just goes to show you just because you arent MLE doesnt make you any less of an eater! Shoot if MLE didnt have so many restrictions and werent such controlling douche bags who only care about making a buck and not their eaters everyone would be MLE. There is so much talent right now like Jamie, Molly, and Brunelli who would all do well in MLE. Im glad there is talent among indy eaters viva la revolution!!!

    All MLE eaters ranked 1-50 can beat anyone in APE and almost all indy eaters. Do you think any of MLE 50 would be ranked in that organization if they thought for one minute they couldn’t beat minor league eaters?

    Pat will win this by a comfortable margin. The independents are going to become most disenchanted by Pat not re-signing with MLE. Apart from contests that Koby participates in also, Pat will win 90-100% of all contests he enters.
    As an independent, he is free to run amok, destroying virtually everyone he faces!

    lol stop picking on rhonda she has admitted she has been wrong in the past. I think she just couldn’t see Pat losing cas she has a thing for him lol no offense Rhonda. Gotta tell ya though Rhonda it definitely wasnt just sheer determination that helped Jamie win this. If he were MLE he would definitely be in the top 3.

    Jamie is excellent. I’m not sure he’s as fast as Pat. Pat also has enormous stomach capacity.

    I don’t want to hurt Jamie’s feelings, but as a fan I’m just stating how I honestly feel when I state that in CE, I’m not sure how much sheer determination will help you, unless the that’s the only discriminator between two equally-matched competitors.

    I’ve been wrong plenty of times before; I’ll admit that; but I just cannot see Jamie beating Pat in this one—-and in Pat’s home state, to boot!

    11:14 maybe we can arrange for all 50 members to go up against APE 50 if they have that many and see who comes out ahead ok? Doesnt necessarily have to be the number 30 40 or 50th ranked eater going up against Jamie or one of their other big names. Lets refer to the challenge as a full team effort They dont refer to it as major league eating for nothing

    First off what is Edible doing associating with a former member of MLE after he was kicked out? That is for sure a conflict of interest as long as she is ranked in the organization. MLE should have kicked the both of them out at the same time. If she was keeping company with Dale Boone or Gavonne that would be a different story

    Am I forgetting anybody in this list: Kobayashi, Bertoletti, Tim Brown, Boone, Torres, Wells, Menchetti, both Goldsteins, Mongo, The Mad Greek, Philbin, Biller, Hurricane Solomon. Has to be a respectable record I would think.

    Paul Barlow is in the MLE top 50; Takeru Kobayashi is not. The one time they faced off, in the 2008 Birmingham Krystal qualifier, Kobayashi defeated Barlow 89 burgers to 20.

    259 it clearly states in the MLE contract that an eater or eaters shall not be allowed to associate with eaters or comp eating events that are not sanctioned by the IFOCE. I also believe that it says somewhere that in house relationships between male and female eaters of the organization is prohibited . Read the fine print !

    What this proves is that there are some really stupid, arrogant commenters who like to start shit and continue it. There will never be any contests of MLE versus APE or individuals. It is still fun to imagine what might happen if there were and to compare, as OJ does, statistical results. First of all Rhonda being attacked is as ridiculous as the attacks which seem to be constant on here. If it is not one person, it is another. And let us remember that Pat lost because of deductions. So we are talking about one contest, one only. Everyone knows that in any contest so many factors are different. Rhonda going away would be ridiculous. She contributes lots of huge value here. Some other people going away would be nice but they will not. It is clearly just a trouble maker who seems to think that eaters from different organizations do not or do not want to be friends outside of their organizations. Oh, that’s right…….the person who made that comment about MEdible is not stupid, they know what they are writing is ridiculous, they just DO want to start shit. So we go round and round and round.

    he main topic here is Bertoletti versus McDonald with Marie Edible reporting. They must have been evenly matched for this contest since Pat lost by deductions. Number of comments is just that, a number. It has nothing to do with eatfeats overall followers. With or without says it and/but the board certainly is not dead, not at all. Commenting is only one aspect, reading is another which only OJ sees, just as it is written above. Apparently some make promises but cannot keep them and continue the BS, but no matter, there are going to be some upcoming exciting things in CE as well as in indie contests and with individuals.
