In the interview Joey claims to have never eaten meatballs. He competed in 2006 in atlantic city. These meatballs looked gigantic compared to the ones at carmines three years ago

You cannot find one bad looking thing about angelica bridges if you tried. I would have creditd her with 10 more balls just for showing up. She is beautiful. According to the pictures it says she ate 6 instead of 10 which means that toro must have ate 12 instead of 16

Alicia is a beautiful young lady. That El Toro surrounds himself with nice looking ladies. I love his pic w/ Alicia on Robin Leach’s Twitpic page.

Congratulations to Joey on a hard-fought win. Looks like Pat is back. Apparently, given those totals, the meatballs were of a consistency that made them more difficult to eat than Tropicana meatballs in past events.

As such, even if Notorious B.O.B had been there, I doubt he would have topped the top two. I don’t think he’s quite as good as Joey and Pat with foods that are chewy or tough.

The event was a blast, it was a pleasure finally getting to meet Pat, Sonya, Rich, Eric, Ron, El Toro and Jason… Everybody was cool and down to earth!

Congrats Ron, you’re a better eater then you’re ranking shows.

The meatballs tasted great but were a challenge to get down, still this is the best I’ve been to in my short 3 contest career!

Yeah, I noticed that in the Harrah’s blog entry. All the eaters had to use forks. Weird. I’m surprised there weren’t people stabbing themselves in the face in the first few frenzied minutes. As for why they instituted the fork rule, I’m guessing it came from the sponsor because the meatballs were covered in tomato sauce and they didn’t want the eaters to look like they’d just slaughtered a cow by the end of the contest.

OJ – What other contests have there been that required eaters to use proper eating utensils?

They had to use forks with Chili Cheese Fries on the Queen Mary in 2007.

I wish more contests, for those food that one normally eats with a utensil, should require use of them. For example, chili spaghetti was perfectly easy to pick up with a fork and shovel into the mouth quickly. I didn’t understand remotely why everyone used their hands beyond just wanting to make a giant sloppy mess. Or like the garlicky greens. . .this is no offense or insinuation to davekos because he’s my friend and a really honest eater, but I don’t quite see the point of using hands for a food like greens either. It is easy to eat that kind of food with a big spoon. In fact, eating with hands seems really hard since it is a sticky, watery food and not really that easy to pick up without it getting stuck everywhere and getting all over the place. Maybe eating with hands makes people get into the spirit more and eat with more intensity or something. But I personally think its gross and I try to eat with a utensil whenever the food is not a finger food. I kinda think most audience members and fans would prefer this too, with the exception of those that are coming for the “hey look at those freaks” value.

BTW, mega. . .contests that come to mind that require utensils. . .oysters, queen mary chili fries, grits. . .

Kong i hope you dont hold that list against me when i see you on sat. It wasnt meant to hurt anyone or to distance myself from the other eaters. The last thing i need is confrontations especially before a great event like this one. . We are here to have fun. I just felt it was something that needed to be addressed. As far as im concerned its water under the bridge. In the past there was one unnamed individual that didnt care if he made a scene before a contest and i thought that showed no class whatsoever. May the best man win. Congrag on your engagement Ron. I was curious if you proposed to your GF as the undertaker or optic nerve

This is an excellent changeover that OJ Rifkin has incorporated. I can just imagine how many negative comments about me tried to make their way into the blog but to their surprise were rejected. . Especially that sneaky c- sucker that frequentoly left those snide remarks like “Brian is posting negative comments and responding to himself” or “The few that go to Brians site feel sorry for him” Whoever the f you are and i know but i wont reveal, I hope you get the psyciatric counseling you sorely need and hope that others dont have to be subjected to your cowardly yet pathetic life. Hopefully one day you will be man enough to reveal yourself to me in person so we can shake hands and then i can spit directly into your face and then ask if you still feel sorry for me.

I applaud that move OJ. That should also lighten your own workload.

That won’t solve the problem by itself, as at least a couple of the very posters that complain about others making trouble bring it upon themselves.

But again, good move! Thanks so much!

That’s right Jim. I didn’t even think about that one.

I’d like to see some contests whereby each contestant had to use a utensil(s-if chopsticks) of his/her own choosing. I think that would be neat and it would require more strategy.

Brian nothing personal but I could honestly careless what list you or anyone else for that matter has me on or not on for that matter…I’ve been on more shit list in my life than I care to mention. If you think you need to address me about something then we can discuss it after the contest. As far as the contest itself goes, I’m there to put up a good number for me and hope it gets me somewhere around the top 3 or 4, the last thing I’m worried about is you or anyone else before hand, that is my mental preparation time. I have no intention on discussing or argueing over who is Dr. Noodle or whatever someone is using to draw attention to themselves with…

As far as spitting on someone, I hope for your own sake you have the right person…That could get real ugly…Real quick

Zyng Asian Noodles 2004 was a fork contest. First year I was doing halfway decent. Went to Columbus, OH as the presumptive favorite. Kevin Carr was in the lead, but suffered a reversal (Big Time!) Thought I had it. Took my foot off the gas. Lost to an 18 year old kid off the street by 1.5 ounces. This is the contest that Beautiful Brian and I had a blowup over. He was supposed to go but had to cancel. Later reported on his website he would have kicked our butts if there. I got pissed and threatened to kick his butt. We later kissed and made up (metaphorically). We’ve been cool since.

This is the only sanctioned contest my little brother, Ed, ever competed in. He was really struggling with the pace, so he stopped half way to smoke a cigarrette. He actually does have two impressive CE victories (of sorts). After moving to St.Louis about 10 years ago, he got into Bike Racing. He’s the 2-time winner of the “Tour De Donut.” It’s a 30 mile bike race with donut stops at 10 and 20 miles. You get 5 minutes off your time for each donut you eat on the course. He ate 32 donuts the second time he won, and finished with a negative time. You can find video from local TV on the internet. He’s the one smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer after the contest.

200 bucks? i dont think so,’ They never offered to fly .me anywhere ever again
