Miki Sudo wins Village Pub rib contest

Miki Sudo announces she won the rib eating contest held at the Village Pub in Las Vegas and received a prize of $1,299. Tom Gilbert was the runner-up. The event was her first ever head-to-head eating competition.

    Gilbert really won the contest. He ate more rib meat than the others.Miki was the in house champ.

    Everyone had massive deductions except for Miki, she did not receive any deductions. In fact one of the judges already declared her the winner without counting any of the other competitors ribs.

    All you people that seem to doubt Miki should really do your research 1st. Why are you anonymous in the 1st place? She has completed other challanges locally that others couldnt even complete so yes shes for real. Dont hate on her cause shes good please. Encourage the new people in the competition eating world. I promise you shes for real.

    Before the competition, Carlene and I were actually saying that it would eliminate a lot of subjectivity (and guesswork on our end) if the ribs were weighed. Still, in fairness to the judges, they did count, they did penalize unclean ribs, and I got deductions like everyone else.

    I would have preferred weighed judging too, but that just wasn’t their format from the start. Maybe they’ll make a few changes for next time.

    Or, can I just sign up as house champ again?

    If El Toro beat Lefevre, then Lefevre without question should hang it up. Toro had to wait till Lefevre turned 80 before he wiped the floor with him. When did Toro make his IFOCE debut ? 2006? It took Toro 6 yrs to finally be able to call himself a major league eater

    The only time eatfeats will promote anything Seiken posts is maybe some old tv documentaries. He doesnt beleive any stories that Seiken posts on his site because he deems his site as non credible. Well i got news for you Koch did quit

    It is really tiresome that one person keeps harping on getting attention on here. If you want to read what Seiken writes, read it. It is not OJ’s job to promote him. WTH. It is not anyone’s business what OJ chooses to put here, it is HIS site, remember? If you have a beef, write directly to him and stop with the really stupid comments. Seiken, if you want to tell eatfeats something about Ron Koch, just post is straightforward here under your name. Never mind that I am anonymous, broken record defenses will not get you readers.     No, 5th was the guy next to Toro. He advanced from the second qualifier, and FB identifies him as Charlie K.
