Here are a list of the competitive eaters who have announced the number of eating challenges they completed in 2011. I will add other totals listed in the comments.

    I’d like to give a shout out to the Independent Eaters of the Left Coast. Naadar, Hussein, Lane, Ross, Excel, etc….these guys are really interesting and fill their FB accounts with great photos and stories of their challenges whether they are successful or not. It’s really enjoyable to follow!

    Agree with Steak here too though I do not follow everyone. Choosing how you wish to be an eater and creating opportunities which fit your desires only brings more fans to the sport. There is no one governing body per se, there are many groups and independents, not all are created equal, not all are really professional, but life is made up of choices and some have and continue to make excellent ones which fit their style and desire.
