The CORRECT totals of the contest
Humble Bob …34 3/4 1st place $5,000.00 (wow)
Eater X …. 32 2nd place $2,500.00 (also wow)
The Birthday Black Widow…. 29 3rd place $1,500.00 (and a cake)
Hall Hunt aka The Hoover aka The Colonel and aka The Hitman(circa 2003)….28 4th place $600.00
The Locust … 25.5 5th place 400.00
It was a very close contest as the #’s show. Each sandwich was 5oz so Bob’s total of 34.75 sammies is approx 10.75 lbs pretty difficult dicipline considering joey does 45 pulled pork sammies in 10min wich were about 6oz each.
I’d say the chopped beef brisket is much dryer than the viscous pulled pork making it the more difficult of the BBQ sandwich competitions. Great Job to all the competitors!

How big were the sandwiches?
How many did Rich and Erik eat?
The article says the locals ate between 8 and 10……is that accurate as well?

well i say every sandwich i had eaten was a different size it probably varied within 4-8 oz … i dont think that article was correct about the locals although i dont have any evidence on that…. But there was alot of fishy stuff happening durring the contest… I guess those people will just have to live knowing they are fishy, and thats all ill say about that…

I was there too I thought the sandwhiches were not the best by any means I can honestly say i did 6 which is nothing all the pros blew me away. This was my second contest and from what i seen the table was way to small for the number of people and I know it was the resorts first event so maybe they will get better there is already talk of it being a yearly thing. But I did have a great time with all the eaters. i will hopefully have a link to the video we took up soon.

Why do some people feel the need to say stuff like “But there was alot of fishy stuff happening durring the contest… I guess those people will just have to live knowing they are fishy, and thats all ill say about that…” and not go into detail??? Either explain what it is, with some proof, or leave it out. Geeeeeesh.

The ones that won did the best what anyone else did the have to live with. The best part of the whole thing was meeting the eaters and the drinks at the bar afterwards. I had a great time and I think bob was on top of his game that day. all of us that ate know the sandwhiches were harder then anyone thought

Definatly…. I had planned on staying the night up there, but i got out voted, pretty much the few people i was with got gamble happy and lost there cash too fast and were discouraged about casinos…
