Robert McKinney defended his Brutus Burger Challenge title at the Tulsa Hard Rock Cafe to win the first prize of $5000. Larry Thomas, best known as the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld, served as MC.
Larry Thomas, who played the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld, will host the Ultimate Brutus Burger Challenge on March 30 at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Tulsa. $5000 will be awarded to the winner and qualifiers will be held on March 16 and 23. The registration deadline is February 28.

Registration will open Monday on majorleagueeating.com for a new bratwurst eating contest in Tulsa on October 24 and a turkey eating contest ($10K purse) at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on November 21. Registration is now open for the chili eating contest at Taste of DC on October 10.
Youtube has a video of the end of the Brutus Burger challenge held at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa earlier this month. An unnamed competitor would have won $5,000 if he had avoided a "reversal of fortune". Adam Richman served as MC for the event.

Stephanie Wu announced that she finished the 72 ounce steak challenge at The Big Texan in Amarillo, TX in 30:40. This would make the five fastest times for women in the official finishers list (a fire destroyed pre-1991 records)

update Nov 12 On her trip, Stephanie also set the women’s record for the milkshake challenge at Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis and the overall Onion Burger record at Dust Bowl in Tulsa.
