Stephanie Wu finishes Big Texan challenge in 30:40
Stephanie Wu announced that she finished the 72 ounce steak challenge at The Big Texan in Amarillo, TX in 30:40. This would make the five fastest times for women in the official finishers list (a fire destroyed pre-1991 records)

In a 2000 Ripley’s Believe it or Not program, Carlene LeFevre finished the steak challenge in 32 minutes, which was billed as a new women’s record. (Results from that episode do not appear in the finishers list).
update Nov 12 On her trip, Stephanie also set the women’s record for the milkshake challenge at Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis and the overall Onion Burger record at Dust Bowl in Tulsa.

If you go back in history and its documented Seiken had the 2nd best time in steak 76oz behind Charles Hardy at J&R steakhouse in 2005 beating Conti Goldstein and even Janus

4/16/05 It has been reported that Competitive Eaters: Charles Hardy 29:30; Brian Seiken 33:00; Allen Goldstein 40:00; Tim Janus 41:20; Crazy Legs Conti 45:00-all successfully completed the J&R Steakhouse Challenge at the Stonybrook, LI location. Although the World Record for this feat was set by the great Cookie Jarvis who gobbled down one of the meat monsters in an unbelievable 7min 15 seconds to break the World Record previously set by Cincinnati Reds pitcher Frank Pastore in the 1970′s. Other notable Eaters who have successfully attempted this feat are AICE’s Bulldozer Johnson in 15 minutes and ChowHound Chapman in 21 minutes.

Ed Cookie Jarvis has the entire thing on video but all these years he could have got off his fat ass to upload it If it was anyone else the video footage would have been uploaded on 4/17 /05 instead of waiting almost 10yrs to see it. MTV recorded it but because Janus did not finish ahead of the other guys they dumped the footage which was supposed to be included in MTV true life show that aired in 2006
