To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, The Big Texan will do a tour offering its 72 ounce steak along the famed highway in June. The trip will begin on June 4 in Santa Monica and end on June 25 in Chicago. Naader Reda plans to attempt the challenge in Barstow, CA.

    Likely free or small fee since it is a publicity thing. My biggest concern is if I’d be able to get one cooked rare enough. Eating on endless chewiness is not my idea of fun… even if free!

    ed jarvis holds the record for completing the steak i 7 min in 2001 but they allowed him to bring his own knife which they will not allow now They prob wisened up years later realizing bringing your own utensils would get the job done a lot easier than using restaurant knife They want you to fail

    There are specific knives for cutting steak they are big He probably owned one The knives the restaurant use are like butter knives

    not a fair game if jarvis was allowed to bring his own knife then same advantage should apply to everone.. tell them to go to hell regardless of how many years ago it was
