Sadly, the column is full in future events on if’s page. It should probably be counted as one long event though, since they are all qualifiers for 60 lbs of coney dogs. Millions of dollars to Shea/Baer & you win $180. (retail) of hot dogs. Real worth about $60.

I know I will not be doing this one either. I was sworn in with the Police yesterday and already gave out 20 tickets in just over 4 hours. Today we closed on our NEW HOME. Ironically my closing attorney is also the City court Judge who was one of two Judges who swore us in. Was planning on catching Greyhound last night to arrive today but the house closing was moved to today up so plans changed. And I had to cancel my two free suites I had already booked.
If all goes well I’ll make it to one of the events. If not I look forward to Krystals and other contests.
Good Luck to everyone competing tomorrow.

Why would you cancel free suites?
Congrats on the new house!
As an older recruit, I would imagine writing tickets, speeding, parking, whatever is not why you joined. How do you feel about writing tickets? I’m dead serious here. I can’t imagine its enjoyable, unless you normally do the speedlimits yourself. & nobody does the speedlimit. Its a suggested low speed

To answer anonymous
I get so many free rooms on my many travels from Days Inn, Ramada and some others over the past few years I just find it fair to cancel the reservation if I know I will not be there.
As to ticket writing, which seems I am writing tickets faster than I am eating in some contests. (LOL) My job with the Police now is to right tickets for Illegal parking in Handicapped Spaces throughout the entire county. Most of my tickets have been for parking in our local WalMart. Being deemed by the State as handicapped myself, because of 37 operations, 4 heart surgeries and a major stroke among other things, I take pride in being able to write these tickets. People are coming up to me at the WalMart parking lot and thanking me for doing this. They are saying it is about time. I joined hoping I could do some good and by the response from many in the community, myself and the other 18 Patrol Officers who were sworn in on Thursday are being well supported by the community. A couple of these Officers are even confined to wheelchairs and they are out there writing tickets for Illegal parking in handicapped spaces.
Hope I answered your questions and thanks for the congrats on our new house.

I don’t have a problem with tickets for handicap spaces. I wouldn’t have a problem with expectant mother & toddler parking tickets though I don’t think thats enforceable yet.
I am for the right to do as you choose, however with 4 heart surgeries & a stroke among many other operations, you should not be competitive eating, wrestling, etc. Preaching, I guess is ok.

Each of us does what we feel we need to do. I was given one year to live in 1988. My doctor passed away in one year, not me. I feel blessed for everyday I have and thank God for each and every breath I take. i could sit home, in a rocking chair and wait to die or I could go on enjoying life. I know the risks of CE, wrestling and even driving, taking a shower and crossing the street.
I do not wrestle like i used to anymore. 33 years is long enough. I still make special appearences when invited and I might be a Manager or I work out the match with my opponet before hand. Now a days i teach wrestling more than anything.
As to CE. I know that at anytime i can suffer a heart attack. In fact any CE’er, no matter how young or old can suffer the same heart attack. Being careful while having fun is the name of the game. In my early days I used to drive motorcycles through walls of 2×4’s engulfed in a ball of fire. I’m still capable of doing that but choose not to.
So as to CE, I do not paln to quit. I have won some smaller contests but not the big ones yet. In the mean time I will show up when ever I can and try to compete. The more you practice the better you get. So even though I have not and may never win a big contest against eaters like Koby, Joey, Pat, Sonya or some others, I will not let that stop me and as with taking a shower, driving a car, crossing the street and eating in a contest, I will be careful.
Thanks for your concern and you take care too. If you are a CE’er, all the best to you in your contests.
