Business Week reports that Nathan's Famous sales are up 17% from last year and cites the hot dog contest as a reason. This goes against a decline of 3% for the overall hot dog market.

I guarantee the sales increased because of Competitive Eaters. We buy so many frickin’ hot dogs every year. The better we get, the more we have to buy for each practice. The people at Nathan’s are marketing geniuses.

Wanting to sell: 42 un-opened Nathan’s Famous Natural Casing hot dogs, I no longer have any use for them 🙁
