I don’t mean to influence the voting with my opinion, but it seems like the timing is definitely right for a Dale Boone interview. It would be interesting to hear about his ejection from the IFOCE and revival in AICE. He could also offer some perspective on the differences between the two organzations (and you know he won’t hold back on critiquing either one).

I voted for Sonya, even though I strongly doubt that would ever happen. My next choice is Juliet and I think Juliet would be very glad to participate. My third choice would be Gal Sone, via an interpreter..

I have to say this. I have no desire to listen to Joey Chestnut in a podcast or any other kind of interview, unless I were trying to market a sedative. Yawn. 🙂
I’m the same way, however, but I can’t eat worth a damn, so he’s surely one up on me.
P. S. I’d rather “be stuck looking” at Eater X for an hour than listen to Joey for 5 seconds. I wish I could rent a Sonya Thomas costume for burritos, but my constant staring at Tim throughout the contest would do me in. (Then I’d do him in … or I’d just DO ’em!) 🙂

I agree with Rhonda. Some eaters are meant for just eating and not for interviewing. Rhonda although you have yet to physically surface, i believe you would make an excellent interview. Any chance of that every transpiring? On another note I have exclusive rights to Sonya and Juliet appearing on my show before his. so Kevin would have to go through me first . Just kidding . I wish you luck on nailing either. I did away with the phone interviews because people were complaining that several unnamed eaters literally put them to sleep it was so boring. I dont want to mention names for it might hurt their feelings. It could have been a bad phone line or cell phone that attributed to it also. However , when you watch them live no matter how bad they sound on the phone they will always keep one’s interest. Lerman is good on the phone or live. Several eaters that come to mind are great phone interviews. Ray the Bison, Allen Goldstein and Boone. Their voices project and they manage to captivate the audience. Especially the Bison. Crazy Legs would have excelled in either but it turned out to be an excellent idea doing the remote from Coleman’s Danielle Franco would have been the show of the year but certain people did not want to cooperate and thats a damn shame because she was ready willing and able and i hated putting her off. BTW i signed a long term contract with Kevin and eatcast so get used to hearing my annoying voice for sometime to come.

Whoa, easy Rhonda. What, you have no hot-and-bothered urges for Sonya?
Rhonda would be a great interview. They could disguise her voice like do they do on those crime documentaries. You can buy those voice distorters for cheap. Or she could be interviewed through an interpreter. Maybe a five year old girl or something. That would be funny to listen to.

Why would rhonda want to do herself. Joey is the great american hero, he doesn’t need shtick to sell himself. When did beating kobeyashi become boring.

Johnny B, he might be the great American hero in your eyes, but where was all the fanfare when the Mustard belt finally came back to America? Today, way, way more Americans identify with Kobayashi than with Mr. Chestnut, to include your interpretation of this Rhonda/Tim one-and-the-same character writing this comment.
Back when Mike “The Scholar” DeVito won the Mustard Belt back from Ito in 1994 in a one-on-one event under the Brooklyn Bridge, it seemed like the feat was better received than when Chestnut won it in his only win in history against Kobayashi.
Joey Chestnut is a great eater, but that’s where it ends. Koby’s reach and influence is totally unprecedented.
Pat, Sonya, Tim, Rich, BB, Chip, Hall , Juliet, Arturo, Legs, Joe (yes, Menchetti), Dale Boone, Erik, Don Lerman, Toro, all have more charisma than Mr. Chestnut. Eating is the only thing he has in this business of sports entertainment. You should thank the Good Lord he is as good as he is.

Kevin I would be delighted. I think it would be safe to say that my appearance might be memorable in some small way.
BTW Kevin, I listen to each of your Podcasts and I really enjoy them, especially when BB calls in. I could listen to you and Brian for an hour or more–easy.
I also like listening to Joe Menchetti. I love to hate what he says (not him personally, however), sort of like J.R. on Dallas, if you remember that far back.
Joe is a very intelligent guy, and there is a certain amount of truth in much of what he says. I just don’t like the way he says it. But I like to listen to him because it perpetuates my disdain for him, which I absolutelty love feeling! (Is this getting confusing?) 🙂

If Joey goes to the same qualifier as Tim, Joey needs to have his ass kicked (which Koby will do later this year). Joey and Pat do not know the meaning of respect and fair play and they both need to be taught a lesson instead of showing up wherever they feel like it. It didnt used to be like that in the old days before those two brats came along.

Chestnut has the personality of a wet mop. Kevin you have a great show. Dont blow it with a mistake like that. On the other hand if you young parents out there have a problem putting your kid to bed just play them a Joey Chestnut interview and i guarantee the kid will fall asleep in less than five minutes I think Rhonda would make an excellent eatcast guest but she might want the big bucks to do that spot.

Sonya would not do the show. Juliet has a problem speaking the english language and has nothing but wonderful things to say about the IFOCE which spells one big word BORING! You want a Chapman , Boy King , Boone, Toro or even a Larry Mcneill. The rest will just tell you how wonderful it is to be part of a thriving and growing organization.

I think we should get more of the ladies on the show. I am sick of listening to Kevin Carr babble on and on like a bafoon…
And, I do love the ladies.
Sous Host… Out.
