    Though I voted for Goose, I think if Squibb tried more foods (i.e. entered more contests) he would win most of those that Koby didn’t participate in, and finish second in those with Koby.

    I suppose that as long as Koby is independent, a case can be made for him being the world’s top eater.

    And from there… I always went for goose on pre-kobayashi independent contests, but right now a tie feels appropiate. I don’t see it as an easy answer at all, in fact stating that i feel it should be a tie is the hardest option i could possibly choose. Thruth is i do feel Furious Pete is loosing the momentum that made me consider him being at the same level as Gilbert, So if things go like they are going right now i might have to reconsider this at some point. If Rich stays independent he would probably fall behind those two.

    Then i wouldn’t put squibb next, bc he has only eaten wings competitively and while it is true that he has put a good number of wings in his stomach on that very competition, it’s a long distance eating contest and i don’t know how he will actually perform in a shorter contest, which is what seems to be on at USA. If he competed in Spain, where most of the contests are over 30 min, then i could rank him based on that performance, but that’s not the case. I would rank Brunelli next, because he has put very good numbers in a handful of contest which seems to implie he is almost at the level of the eater i ranked 3 through 5.

    Randy Santel/Dahl haven’t still taken part in any eating competition that i know of. They have done eating challenges though, at a very good pace. He might be ranked next but i dunno for sure. Neither do i know if they eat even at challenges or not, but i feel at least one of them would be at 8.

    8) Randy Santel / Eric Dahl, might be 8 and 9 at the same time if they eat even, otherwise just the fastest here.
    9) Nreda.

    I dunno about the tenth, maybe one of the guys i put at numer 8.

    Sorry for a more-than-asked-for insight on my view of independent eaters rankings.

    I like Torres. That is sad news if it is true. More importantly, the great Kobayishi ate just 49 dogs? I got to visit this site more often for the news. See what happens when you don’t have your own counter and cannot throw buns away. Joey is proven number one so congrags on the others being well below number one in the world. Boone never been top ten, never will be.

    Oh, I say Goose is #2 among the amatuurs.

    If they can immortalize Buddy Holly short lived career in music then the same should be applied to Stephanie Torres. I would lobby for the state of NM to construct a gold replica statue of Stephanie in her trademark blue hat and Nathans tea shirt for all her hometown fans to witness

    I think either “A legend is gone” is being sarcastic, or is a creep. Look at Ben Monson, he had a much better short lived debut then Torres, and now he’s barely remembered. Id be interesting to see if the rumor is true about Torres. Also, Anon 6:58, if your gonna make a claim that you know who a certian Anon person is, why dont you call them out? Otherwise your just as bad.
