Pat B has the best chance of catching Joey (if he can even be caught). Humble Bob continues to trend upwards and could take the spot himself. I’m excited to see how this plays out after Nathans this year!

If the IFOCE really wants to keep everyone together, a new years party for the eaters should be considered. It would feel more like a family and bring everyone together.

By the way, I think Chip Simpson has as much of a chance as anyone to be # 1 at the end of the year. Any votes for Gentleman Joe Menchetti?

Juliet, you are certainly a talented up-and-coming eater. It’s nice to have more females in the sport. I wish there were enough to have a separate division.
Here’s something to consider Juliet. Right now is what I call the “honeymoon” phase for up-and-coming female eaters competing against men. When you first start kicking butt, it’s considered novel and cute (by those whose butts you kicked). But as you continue to ascend the ranks of CE there will come a time when you’ll be considered the “500 lbs gorilla” and those same highly ranked males who gave you accolades when you beat them will start cheering for other eaters to win. It was that way for Sonya — and she’s the only example I can use — and I suspect it will be similar for you.
I’m telling you this because I don’t want you to be surprised when this happens. Just hang in there and keep on keeping on for “The Gipper.” No, do it for Rhonda!
