MLE posted the results at about 5 est. Crawfish reported that Joey Chestnut won with 42 brats at about 3:50.

Agree fully with Mega except for one thing. A little late perhaps, but do we really think that the Wizard is on duty 24 hours a day? Fans expectations are sometimes ridiculous. No one pays for our entertainment. A novel could be written about the eatfeats phenomena, strange but true. OJ does have a life outside of eatfeats, he needs time to eat and perhaps even enjoy himself.

I have often wondered, I don’t see any advertising on eatfeats and you don’t have to pay to be a member, so how does OJ make any money off this site? Does he do all this work just for the love of competitive eating? If so that is truely awesome!!

Yes, he clearly does it for the love of competitive eating or whatever other reason he has. Anyone who doesn’t like this can just not come here. Now why do people not like this? Well he is clearly in control and no one knows who he is. That being said, he usually just puts up links and information and doesn’t make judgments though one could argue that the judgements are made by what he chooses to post. It is his website. He can do whatever he wants. And in spite of the sometimes toxic comments here, this is the only place to find updated information overall about competitive eating. Sometimes you have to filter out the poisons and let things go. It is everyone’s choice to be here or not. There is nothing, absolutely nothing remotely selfish about what he is doing. Yes, eatfeats is a mystery in some ways, but with talent and discipline with computer skills, whoever is doing it is doing a bang-up job. If he were to suddenly go away, lots of fingers would be unhappy. And no one could get to beg him to return (or her or a staff). There is only an e-mail address. It is a pretty unusual arrangement.

My dad, mother, son, daugter, aunt, uncle, brother, niece, and nephew are on Seiken’s level. Juliet has very, very special talent, and personally I don’t think there’s another lady eater even close to her in the entire world.

Juliet, like Sonya, has never said a bad word about anyone. But anyone who thinks Sonya and/or Juliet are weak is very off base. Even so, there is no reason to be hurtful if she does read here. Have no idea whether or not Sonya or Juliet ever checks eatfeats.

I might be wrong, but I think virtually everybody associated with CE in any way, shape, or form reads CE Web sites like eatfeats and BB.com. And I think they also get hurt when lambasted on any site. It’s really big of them when they refrain from striking back on a public Web site.
I think Sonya, Juliet, and a few others make it a point to strike back in a constructive manner: at the table.
