Pat Bertoletti has set up a page at firstgiving.com to raise money for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Pat will match all donations received up to $500 and will award a T-shirt signed by all 2011 Nathan's finalists to the biggest giver.

    Correction: Only the men’s division will be signing the t-shirt because the women’s division isn’t really part of the Nathan’s finals.

    Good one for the Ladies Pat! And no matter how much press and interviews Joey does, the best known competitive eater is still the one and only Takeru Kobayashi all over the world. Joey will crash or retire before he ever overtakes Kobayashi in that department.

    I think you have been listining to the shea’s again actually Kobi is the most well known person in CE. no offence to Jason but most people know him as that funny dressed guy from N.Y..People come and people go I don’t think the face of the final will be any different with or without him. Any oddly dressed average eater can take the place ofany other oddly dressed average eater.

    Now how in hell will Koby be at the final table?

    Her signature shouldn’t be on that shirt, since she’s not part of the Finals that Pat is referring to.

    Perhaps I’m reading this incorrectly this topic headline didn’t mention anything ’bout male/female division….just sed Nathan’s finalists. Wasn’t the Anon 12:49 post just a sarcastic poke implying that the women’s division is insignificant? I would expect Sonya, Juliet, etc. would be signing the shirt, no?

    Why use up perfectly good space with names of insignificant eaters? Those two signatures would devalue the garment!
