    Has anyone noticed how happy Conti is after he qualified for Nathans ? He is all over twitter congrat this one and that one in wings hot dogs . He is also appearing at Nathans qualifiers rooting others on.

    What’s it matter, Micah? I’m just some guy who signed up, and they didn’t call me, so I just showed up and watched with my kids. I do think it’s BS that they didn’t call me back but allowed a walk-on in a cowboy hat, but I saw first hand how absolutely DIRTY the MLE organization is when Shea handed an empty plate at the end to you and Pablo (Esper too? Only he knows.) it makes me question the validity of everyone. Pathetic.

    It’s a pet peeve of mine, I like to address people’s remarks the same way you addressed me in your remarks, questions and accusations.
    As far as the gentleman in the hat he worked or owned the Aussie BBQ stand (which has wonderful BBQ I might add). Sometime the Shea’s have to add people that the sponsor wants in the contest and it’s out of their hands. But I understand your frustration I myself really wanted to do pork roll a few weeks ago but couldn’t get in, it’s all a part of the business.
    Now to address the plates which you seem to be so hung up on. During the contest a gentleman who was a volunteer was bringing us plates and decided to clean up the ones that were there already. We both tried to get his attention but couldn’t and had to return to eating. It was hard enough getting his attention to keep the plate with hot dogs coming. After the contest we explained what happened and it was corrected. Nothing shady, no cheating, no shenanigans. It was simply something that happens from time to time. If something like that makes you question the “validity of everyone” without know what happened and you just make snap judgements maybe it was better you didn’t get in.
    Hope that answers your questions, if you have more feel free to ask as you and not as Anonymous…I would be more than happy to answer anything.
