Congradulations Chip Simpson.
What a performance!!
Also Pat B. very impressive!
The talent level is rising to levels of montrosity that the Japenese have to be worried.
Here comes Team USA with a lineup to Coney Island that we have not encountered in the past.
I believe the Belt is coming back to America and it’s going to stay.
Now it’s Bob Shoudt’s time to crank it up at Shea stadium.

Bob Shoudt is the winner of Shea qualfier with 29. I am officially retired from hot dog eating as of today. However i am not retired from competitive eating. I wanted to go out on a positive note but thats the way the cookie crumbles. Eddie Hardy finished second with unofficial 17. Great eater very much like his dad at the table and he has a big future ahead of him. I wish him all the success in the world . I was fortunate enough to compete with both Hardy’s in their debuts. Hardy Sr in 1998 at the WTC and Hardy Jr at Shea in 2006 . Amazing that both debuted with same amount of 17 .
