Portland mayoral doughnut eating contest
Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, Oregon will host a doughnut eating contest for mayoral candidates on May 2. The competition appears on the calendar of candidate Sho Dozono. Voodoo Doughnuts made a doughnut in honor of Dozono’s birthday.
Liz K blogs that she will travel to Portland next week and plans to make a trip to Voodoo Doughnuts.

I fully expect Kevin Ross to run for mayor so that he can win a contest.

I’m ignoring the anonymous poster mostly because I can’t think of a clever comeback right now, but on the subject of voodoo doughnuts, I tried to go there when I was in Portland because I was told they have a giant doughnut of some sort. But when I went there, they were out of them. It made me sad. I did get to go to a nice beer festival though, so that made up for it. Booze cures all.

Eat one for me Liz! By the way, what’s a Vegan donut? (It sounds either obscene or demonic.)

That is the best donut shop i’ve been to. Liz, make sure to get there early so you can get the maple and bacon donut. It has crispy bacon on top.

Pat what are you doing here? You’re royalty!
Better leave before some anonymous jerk tries to “hitcha” in the ass with a verbal arrow–unlike Cupid’s!

I knew I was giving good advice “I,” but at least you kept it constuctive, in the spirit of competition..

Yes, “I” that’s a dunking/bread-type food, so I would give the edge to Joey too.
It’s like this: If the food absorbs or falls apart in water–edge: Joey.
If it’s chewy/requires lots of jaw strength–edge: Joey.
Most everything else–edge: Pat.
You could use those three basic rules and correctly pick the winner between these two greats about 80-90 % of the time.
