It’s nice that they put up the point calues and the placings. But I would be very interested in seeing the totals. Those pretzels must have been chewy, because I was expecting Joey, Sonya, and Tim to all eat in the MID-twenties. I doubt either of those three were even 1/2-full after the contest.

That was a really impressive showing by Pat Bruss, though I don’t know how many he really ate. It looks like Pat is one of the best first names to have as a CE!

    Rhonda,
Pat’s an ok name, but I would say that Eric is a much more powerful name at the table, even when spelled funny.
    🙂

Oh! Well, I take my comment on the other topic back then. Apparently they did post the actual food totals on their site. Kudos IFOCE! I’m glad to see that and hope you keep doing it for all the future contests.

So the pretzel totals are on IFOCE.com and the points are on CompetitiveEating.net? I thought they’d be on CompetitiveEatingNews.com (or maybe CompetitiveEatingEvents.com).

I, for one, believe Dale. There aren’t enough counters at these events. All the focus is on the eaters in the center, especially in close events. It’s very possible that an entire plate was miscounted in Pat’s favor. Why else would he say he ate six? He knows how many he ate better than anyone else.

Proper counting of the plates for ALL eaters is especially paramount, given this new point system. It will be interesting to see Pat’s performance in the next event.

Dale instead of running your mouth put the video on youtube. that is if you know how to do it. By telling everyone its on video “busted” means shit . Lets see the proof in the pudding

I agree. I always hear all these accusations. It is extremely insulting to question someone’s integrity and say they cheated. If you have proof show it, then everyone can decide for themselves. Doing so might keep someone in check and stop them from doing it again. This would be a great service to everyone. Otherwise keep it to yourself. I am sorry, but it is just slander to say someone cheated with no evidence.
