Using the RPI formula that is the same used for college athletics I have created the Nasty Nate 2009 Rankings which will be updated on a monthly basis. The formula is
(Head-2-Head Win %)(.25)+(Opponent’s Win %)(.5)+(Opponent’s Opponent’s Win %)(.25) = RPI

Well stated Rona. To say you instill sanity, compassion, camaraderie, and lightheartedness among competitive eaters is an understatement.
Though it may not seem like it at times, I agree with you about 80 % of the time. Even when I don’t, I always look forward to what you have to say.

Well, Nathan, at least the poll IS scientific, in that it has a formula, and is not based on subjectivity and/or bias. As such, it makes more sense to me than any poll where eaters vote for themselves.

To set things straight, the prospect of me being at the end of any pole needs to be discussed at length prior to contemplating that event.

WOW , #1 ranked! Something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. I look forward to chowing down on another sea critter on memorial day and maybe another upset. Who knows!
