Rich, Erb, and skinnyboy were awesome! The numbers had to be adjusted though, because the hotdogs were actually jumbo size dogs. Rich really only ate 21, Jason ate 9, and Andrew ate 8, but because they were such large hotdogs they uped the numbers to match what they would have eaten had the HD’s been normal size. If the normal sized dogs were used these guys probably would have all had higher numbers because chewing these dogs took more time and effort than the normal dogs. It could only muster to eat 6.

For those of you who haven’t heard, Erik the Red posted on his blog the top 3 finishers in the Pigs Feet contest today. Arturo “the Natural” Rios came in 1st, Erik Denmark came in a respectable 2nd, and Crazy Legs finished 3rd. No totals were posted on his blog as of yet. Good job by those 3 and all who competed.

It was an oversight by the Nathan’s guy, those were the kind he ordered. Fortunately Rich won the event and the totals really mean nothing beyond order of finish as the rest of us were not in wildcard contention. While it sucks that we have to guestimate how we did compared to our previous qualifiers, no harm, no foul.

Hey, first-time competitor here, but just wanted to add that I ate 8 also! But alas, I was at the end of the table and Ryan got my number late. Rich, Erb, skinnyboy, Jake – it was great eating alongside you all!

some stores serve the sightly bigger hotdogs
but they are not that much bigger . Rich did 21 one point blank .
