Rich LeFevre wins Tempe with 28 HDB
Andrew Lane has a blog entry about the Tempe Nathan’s qualifier he competed in today. He claims that the top four finishers of that event are:
1. Rich LeFevre 28 hot dogs & buns
2. Erik “the Red” Denmark 19 HDB
3. Andrew “Skinnyboy” Lane 14 HDB (officially credited with 9 HDB)
4. Russell “The Black Hole” Blackwell (from Arizona) 13 HDB
updated 10:33 pm – removed “judging error” from Andrew Lane’s result
updated June 4 10:00 am – fixed Russell Blackwell’s name

OJ, the blurb says “judging error”. I definitely do not view it that way. Ryan as judge had nothing to do with it. If anything the error was mine, as 14 to 9 lies ultimately with me because I did not keep my finger on the plate.

Congrads, to you Rich LeFevre for qualifying for the Nathans, and congrads to Erik The Red, i’m sorry you that didn’t get the duece, but i’m sure you’ll go over 20 next time, not bad.

Please disregard my last two entries. This was about someone’s blog listing the results acording to that person’s own perception of what had taken place (although in error), not an official website, I’m much more concerned concerned with the official site/s posting the correct info. If this an official webs then I ate 13 and I ask to whoever is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the segment’s content, that my name be listed.
. It looks like bed time for me (again).

Russell, “Hot Dog Dude” (as you so eloquently put it.) is only supposed to give you plates of hot dogs, NOT take away the empty ones, you should’ve said/done something immediately about it, those plates are your only proof of your totals…YOU GUARD THEM WITH YOUR LIFE!

Thanks for the support y’all. Aeizona was damn hot and the crowd was huge in the middle of the food court in the mall. I do resent that one hot dog left on my plate though…next time I won’t be so kind.

unless some dark horse shows up the remaining qualifier winners not in any order are shoudt , bertollet, philbin, simpson , Eric the red , Maybe Boone, oleg ,booker will advance to coney. goldstein gets wildcard . case closed

Wait, someone inadvertantly TOOK AWAY one of Skinnyboy’s empty plates in mid-contest? How does that happen? Is it easy to accidentally do? Here’s how the briefing for the hot dog giver dude should go: “When they’re running out of hot dogs, give them more, and DON’T take the empty plates because that’s how we tally the results. Oh, by the way, DON’T take the empty plates! Did I mention NOT taking the empty plates?”
