This looks to be a tight battle between Pat and James. Surprised we haven’t been seeing much at the table from Geoff lately. Geoff’s last competition was bagels from Feb

Pat and James might both double what the other two do. What a waste. Max could eat more.

You think Max can eat more than Miki or Nick? I don’t see that happening. He would probably beat Radim tho.
I’m sure Tanner will show up too, maybe sneak into 6th place and win $0.00 and be in the red after considering travel costs

Tanner is rookie of the year though he should at least get some travel vouchers to help out with airfare. Max is good especially in the sweet discipline.

Tanner should get third.

Travel vouchers? are you insane? that money would be coming straight out of Geroge’s and Rich’s pockets. We’ve been groomed to think we’re lucky enough that they even let us keep our food- and puke-covered T-shirts after the contest is over,,,
I hope we see even more of the good international eaters do Nathan’s Coney Island this year. It will make it clear just how underwhelming some of the participants of the last few years have been (the men that haven’t cracked 30 or barely did). For the women, it would be a bloodbath if they had some of the international women eaters attend in addition to Mayoi Ebihara. eating 11 or 12 hotdogs isn’t gonna yield you any prize money if the international ladies show up in mass.

If Tanner gets 3rd, I’ll run up on stage at Coney this year and protest. 3 people would not need to show up for him to get 3rd

On the flip side, Tanner probably did break even or make some money from sausages this past weekend. However, traveling to contests to accumulate sky miles and then walking away with $50-100 you get experience and a sense of accomplishment from Sam highlighting eating stats to a crowd of packed fans. If MLE could get more events televised like Nathan’s then they might be able to reward more of their eaters

If you can eat more then 15 hotdogs in 10 minutes . You are a good eater . Not everybody has the time or money to practice.

The Bologna contest would probably go over well on ESPN, but I can’t see MLE or a sponsor paying for non Nathan’s tv events nowadays. Hope I am wrong though.

eating 16+ hotdogs in 10 minutes does not make you a good eater.
If you are commenting on this website, you have the time to train if you wanted to. It costs about $8.00 to buy 24 cheap hot dogs and 24 buns. I’m sure you spend more on your fast food lunches or dinners.

Getting 15+ Bar S Brand wieners down without gagging from the “flavor” is an accomplishment in itself. Blechhh! (and if you’re really lucky, there will be some gritty/sandy texture in there too. heh heh)
The Sugardale brand is not as bad, but they are a little trickier to find since wally world dropped their 24 pack post covid.

The ifoce title rally in 2004 where Allen Goldstein beat Gus Shaffer a guy they practically picked off the street with 2lbs of bologna is the most entertaining contest

In Canada 24 Hot Dogs and Buns would send you back $50

Will Radim cheat again or will MLE rightfully disqualify his bologna contest placing due to the blatant eating after the time expired? Maybe he can continue to grift with Randy? He is such a prolific poster of videos on YouTube after all. Not.
