Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas is expected to compete in a hot dog eating contest at Joint Base Andrews Exchange in St. Andrews, MD on June 13. This will be her first public appearance since a mysterious disqualification in the 2018 Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest concluded her Major League Eating career. Sonya Thomas worked at the Burger King on Joint Base Andrews.

    Very cool she is doing this, but I think we would have seen it before now if a Nathan’s comeback was the goal. Then again, Pat took 11-12 years out before his return. I believe she would be 58 now. Good to hear this.

    This could be a one time shot. Jury is out as to whether she does gogs with mle. Sudo beat her 5 straight times until she packed it in 2018 and in that contest she was DQ for throwing up Shes close to 60 and at this point there is no indication whether or not she still has anything left

    last time i went to vegas was 2005 Minus the eating challeges and there are a ton of them, AC gambling wise has everything vegas has and then some I did the barrick burger challenge with Ron Koch Hope hes still alive it would sadden me if hes dead

    Molly would be awesome… and she does contests offering prize money, but I can’t see her doing it with the sole intent of beating a legend who hasn’t been to the table in nearly a decade. I guess it just depends if her schedule is open and if she (and likely Dan too) are allowed and want to.
