The MLE facebook announces that Sonya Thomas will participate in the Taco Bell Why Pay More soft taco eating challenge in Puerto Rico on July 15. Takeru Kobayashi ate 64 Taco Bell burritos in Puerto Rico in 2009.

    Taco nut, it was15 minutes i think. And yes, it didn’t look like a lot to me at the time. Let’s see what Sonya does this July 15. BTW great to see Sonya taking part in this kind of challenges.

    I think Kobe could have done more, but let’s not forget that the burritos are twice the weight as a soft taco. Go Sonya!

    Sonya might have a different time challenge than what Koby had. Fifteen minutes is a long time.

    Koby didn’t succeed in breaking one of her records (fruitcake), and if she could break one of his it would be awesome.

    However, I too don’t believe Koby went all out eating 64 in 15 minutes.
