    Some average above average eater should make it a point to challenge this new “world record and then market it like Koby did with hot dogs and turkey. I think there must be at least a dozen guys who can beat that so called record.

    Kobyashi is a sleaze bucket. I used to think he was the greatest but he has become hard up. If he ever loses his competitive eating ability I think he will have nothing left.

    I have tons of respect for Kobi. He remains the best non U.S. competitive eater in the world and he fully remains one of the top ten eaters in the world. He might have lost a few steps the past few years but no doubt he did help competitive eating get its start. I put Kobi in the same category as, though a little bit above, Arai, Lerman, Krachi, Nakajima, Keiner, Devito, Seiken, Jarvis, Booker, and Hardy, all of whom launched this wonderful sport as we know it today.

    Its only because he pulled that stunt a few years ago which got him arrested , that might have tarnished his image a little but he is content doing what he is doing and making money doing it

    I have much more respect for Brian Seiken than this so called great but ungratreful Kobyashi. Seiken had the wherewithall and balls to express his opinion and his website did as much for competitive eating as Kobayashi and Kobayashi ruined his place in history by being such a twerp. Screw him! He is an ungrateful butt hole!

    Thanks for the kind words. Although the website transformed me from a shy reserved comp eater to an opinionated loudmouth that made tons of enemies , it was well worth the aggravation in the long run Thanks again

    You don’t see Joey or Sonya going around trying to justify that they are still viable competitive eaters. Those two have my utmost respect, along with Badlands Booker. Koby, on the other hand, seems desperate. Still a great eater, but will run over others for attention. Not kosher. An act of desperation for attention.

    You have to wonder how much Kobayashi really gives a damn about the eaters participating in his Crif Dog Contest. Does he even know them or would he know who they were if he bumped into them on the streets? Is he going to make sure they are taken care of since they are participating in HIS big personal media & pay day?

    Hopefully we see a beautiful brian classic someday.

    Look here leave the guy alone. This is short lived for Kobayashi. Maybe next year all the come watch the great Kobi hype will end and most of the little munchkins that dont mind eating hot dogs with him at the table will wisen up and say what the hell was i thinkin?

    The “little munchkins” are scheduled to make as much money as those eating up the road, with the same chances of knocking off the number one guy.
    There are plenty of guys who have been in Nathan’s many times & possibly this year, that have been beaten by those who no longer choose to compEAT at that table.
    The ifoce may have a few more elite eaters, but only a few & I think the Cash Winnings list helps to prove that. & us Indy eaters win GC’s, supplies of food, trips, tickets, electronics, etc. that don’t even count on that list.
