    The dogs might be kosher, but the sense he’s displaying in not signing with MLE is not.

    Oh Dear………while I agree with Rhonda on so many things, it looks as if Koby is working on other things, mainly his English. If he really understood English well, he might be making different decisions. Only time will tell. It does look as if his understanding is being filtered by his manager/stylist. But perhaps his goals have changed. He clearly isn’t about the money. He would really be doing more of the same if he were with ifoce so maybe he is making the right decisions for himself. How many more years of good health does a Joey or a Koby have? Koby takes care of himself. It doesn’t look like Joey does. It would be nice if someone asked him or he stated his new dreams and goals.

    Holy crap. That must be one of the most sexist comments I’ve ever seen. Direct sexual accusations thrown against Koby’s manager. This is 2011. I think the women of this world deserve a little better. Koby’s a free man. We don’t all need to be about the money to be happy or successful.

    If that is most sext comment you have ever seen you need to get out more. It is not like RE said “That woman needs to get back in the kitchen and start making dinner and babies instead of trying to do mans work.”

    I will always love Koby no matter what. Just like Brett Favre.

    Competitive eating has yet to reach the plateau where eaters can hire a real agent.I doubt they ever will. That due in part to the chump change the sponsors are offering for appearances with a potential agent realizing there is little money in this market for them and the client.

    It seems so obvious to me that Koby is not using good common sense here. Perhaps I’m giving him too much credit in that department. I hope not, cause he’s one (used to be one) of my two foremost CE heroes!

    But, maybe I’m the stupid one here, and maybe like Mr. Man said, I’m thinking too much in monetary terms. There certainly are more important things in life.

    I just hope Koby’s pursuit of whichever one(s) of those other not-so-obvious goals works out, because it’s surely not recognition as top competitive eater.

    Like Ric Flair used to say, to be the best (the man) you have to beat the best (the man).

    Who’s Koby beating now? Perhaps he looks at CE as a mere pastime. If so, that’s his choice.

    Come back Rhonda or COMEBACK RHONDA. I fully withdraw the gong, really. This is what real conversation with your wit is all about along with your straightforward honesty. So, in response……

    There is not that much overall money out there and Koby is foolish if he thinks he can do better elsewhere than with MLE. He absolutely cannot, ever, not even close. It seems that he burned his bridges big time and is making no effort to mend them. I thought I read that the door wasn’t closed to him for this year’s Nathan’s, he must have shut it fully or fooly, that is why the wall was redone, imo. Nothing changed on that wall except his removal. Yes, it seems he is still going with the give me liberty theme, whether encouraged by his unofficial manager/definitely his translator or not, he does have the final say. That liberty card was played out, done and gone. People will lose interest in him. Unless he has something else in mind, he is a sinking ship destined for modeling in magazines etc.

    He should be thinking in monetary terms because even though he got his visa on his own without MLE, probably because he never had enough of a connection to them with his limited English to even ask, in order to keep it he has to earn money through eating. His visa is a very special category so he is already in to year two, I think. Maybe that is why is doing these seemingly trivial eating contests. He isn’t getting any younger, if he really has it, and I feel sure that he does, he should go up against Joey now, Pat second. As of now I cannot see anyone else beating him in any category. But that might not last long. Every athlete is only one career ending injury away from oblivion at any point, competitive eaters are entertainers first and foremost.
