The Great Moomsi & partners finish Zeus burger

TheGreatMoomsi.com has a video of Greg Maloomian and two teammates completing the Zeus Burger at the Clinton Station Diner in New Jersey. The listed weight of the burger is 12.5 pounds but the actual burger weight was over 14 pounds. A picture of the list of the diner’s challenges shows an award of $500 for a three person team finishing the Zeus in less than an hour.

The restaurant staff claimed that no team had previously completed the Zeus challenge, but a three person team in a 2005 AICE contest did finish the burger.

Yeah OK. If you don’t care about it then why do you come to this site? There are two things you can do if you don’t want to read stuff like this or about Man v. Food or whatever:

    1. Leave, or
    2. Shut up

Good job Greg! it’s funny how so many people from the bb.com community has gotten into competetive eating in the last 6 months, yourself, Ben, me, John (Icebox aka Blitz at bb.com)

You should sign up for an IFOCE event, i’d like to see how you fair against some of the big guns. I know I’ve been humbled quite a bit in the last few events I’ve been too.

    good luck man!

The restaurant staff was CORRECT. The 2005 event was irrelevant, because the “Zeus challenge” is for the team to finish the burger in 60 minutes or less. In 2005, the team took more than 70 minutes to finish the burger.

Lol… When spraymucus said “many of us from the bb.com community” I thought he was talking about beautifulbrian.com. Then I realized he meant bodybuilding.com.

By the way, there has to be a food story behind your nickname. Why do they call you “spraymucus?”

I meant GOOD story, not food story, but I guess food story works too.

Meh, not an interesting story really. I’m a Miami Dolphins fan and when Ray Lucus QB’d for the team he was quit possibly the worste QB to ever play the game. Ray Lucus = Spray Mucus, it’s been my screen name for a while.

I didn’t snot a wing like the Brad Scuillo (sp?) did, although that would be a more interesting and fitting story for this site.

and for the record I’ve never been on that other bb.com site… sorry Brian.

I think all anon10:17 meant is that isn’t much of a challenge for 3 eaters to do. So I have to agree with him to eat 4-5 lbs isn’t much to brag about. he never said he didn’t care. Why don’t you go and do it a-bomb since you’re so special

Thanks a lot Damon, I appreciate the kind words. My speed, while slowing improving, is still quite bad. I have much better capacity than speed. Would be fun to do some more IFOCE events though for sure. If you and Ben ever come east for any events hit me up with PM on bb.com or something, would love to try and get together with you guys.

    Hello,

I know of a kid who just finished the grizzly burger challenge in CT, he was the first to ever do so. It was a 13lbs burger with 3lbs of fries. You can watch this feat at kevineatsit.com. I’m pretty sure he, by himself, could devour the zeus burger

no offense taken J-W. All I’m saying is 4+ lbs in a hour is not a good eat. I post anon because of all the trash talk on here. I can get two other people to do this without a problem it’s not worth the drive to New Jersey.

I said whoop de doo because since when was tag team partnership required to complete a challenge that should be completed by one and one eater only. Thats like two pitchers getting credit for a combined no hitter which never had substance in the record books to begin with . Take that mr a bomb
