The Guardian on UK competitive eating

A writer for the British newspaper The Guardian wrote an article about competitive eating in the UK after competing in a burrito eating contest. The article mentions Tim Janus’ medical examination and Don Lerman’s quote about suffering internal bleeding.

    That was a quote that was approved by Ben’s deli public relation dept and Ronnie dragoon owner for the bens matzah ball contest sort of as a joke to be used for a sound bite , it was never met to be taken literly

    The guys a wanker that wrote this thing. Just like the UFC chop shop bits. When you go into something thinking it is disgusting and will not have any benifits your end up a lot of times worse off than before you started.
