    Speaking of the girls, here’s a nice piece on Sonya http://www.winchesterstar.com/articles/view/the_black_widow_from_alexandria
    in the Winchester Star. The piece focused on the possiblity of doing an Apple Pie Eating Contest, which if happens, my money would be on Pat. I just can’t believe MLE hasn’t done an Apple Pie eating contest.

    I don’t think Sonya could make Gyoza this year. She’s probably focusing on wings and the buffet in Buffalo coming up.

    The Juliet story wasn’t a story but a link to the video, I think. This is a transcript of the video (though auto translated), and I am glad that I was reminded about it since I watched it again. I didn’t realize that Juliet’s salon is right in her home so she really can be home for her growing girls, giving her proper status as competitive eating’s #1 Mom. Nice that she and Sonya each have their “best” category. Sonya is afraid of no one last two anonys, maybe same person.

    In my opinion Carlene and Juliet are the two greatest female eaters. Carlene brought attention to American women eaters at the 2002 Nathan’s Finals. Juliet took it to the next level. Sonya just grabbed the torch from Carlene, held if for a year or two and passed it to Juliet, the greatest female eater ever! There will never be another Lovely Juliet Lee!

    nobody grabbed or passed the torch to anyone. No senior citizen could accomplish what carlene accomplished eating wise. Can you find a woman pushing 70 that can put away food like that? You would have to seatch the ends of the earth to find a duplicate Carlene Lefevre
