    Yes except for one thing which surprised me. Joey should have learned by now not to say anything negative about any sponsor’s food. He can think it but to say something publicly and have that printed is an obvious big mistake. He makes lots of money from those sponsors so should be smart enough to know better.

    There are critics of competitive eating who protest that it sets a bad example for the obese population of America. But Joey doesn’t see the connection—any more than he sees one between car-racing events and the oil crisis.

    Joey learned that from George and Rich, the Nascar connection. Other interviewed eaters have said that in the past. Good for him to say that but it is nothing new as a response.

    This was a really great interview. Many people in the general public have little idea who Joey is, and lots of the stuff he said makes him out to be an ordinary likable guy with an extraordinary talent.

    The neg comment really wasn’t about the sponsor’s food as the sponsor was Proctor and Gamble/ Pepto Bismal, the food was just provided by a local sausage purveyor. Actually I live here and that one is not my favorite either.

    Come on these critics are dumb as hell and assholes to boot. They may as well say that anything you do through a hole in a sheet is not only moral but good for you. Self centered twats.

    I am fat, I am not fat because of CE. I have never seen anyone go to a contest and say afterward “Damn I should eat like that all the time.” We are a fat ass nation because we are lazy and life is easy. We eat fast food and sit on your ass and watch tv all night. Good interview J-bag..
