It would be a huge mistake to count out Brian Seiken. I think he can outduel Janus, Shoudt and Thomas, but Joey might be too tough.

    Why is Seiken not interviewed?

Seiken will be interviewed. A reporter will be waiting as the final seconds of the contest wind down and Seiken just about finishes the equivalent of 1 quart of chili.

This whole thing with these top eaters invading Sonya’s and Juliet’s territory is ridiculous!!! It’s as if Joey, Bob, and Janus all think they can come in a pick up easy first place money. The total prize pool is only about $3,000. Why can’t they be happy for Sonya and Juliet and let them have first and second place money, since it’s less than an hour’s drive for both of them? But no. Joey was probably paid an appearance fee to come and I guess I can understand him showing up, even though he’s traveling 3,000 to pick up a $1,250 check. Somehow, some way, I hope Sonya and Juliet shock the competitive eating world and take two of the top three prizes. For those doing all this pracricing, I hope they practice how to lose graciously. That knowledge might come in handy. I hope it does.
