“Wedges and Wings” spectator information

Las Vegas Advisor has information about tomorrow’s “Wedges and Wings” contest.

Kobayashi’s blog reports
that he got a new hairstyle and is not sure when he will be able to update his blog, so he will probably attend.

STBW says
that October will be a “very very light month” CE-wise for Sonya, so she will probably not attend.

I commend Chip and Sonya if they dont attend .Their jobs are more important than this shit. I hope they held out for more dough. Some people would drop everthing in their life no matter how imporatnt it is if MLE calls them

For most viewers there will be no need to watch this until the final round when Joey and Koby battle it out because that’s all they remember from July 4th.

Also, I still expect Sonya to be there, unless “The Whopper Rules” somehow has inside information. Maybe the IFOCE is torqued off at Sonya and did not select her in the first place. No one knows except her and them.

Rhonda the day the IFOCE doesnt select Sonya Thomas for a media event is the day the sky falls on us. Sonya decides whether or not she shows up not the IFOCE. I wonder if the people that run the IFOCE realize they are putting a gap further and further between them and the members of the organization with this pick and choose bullshit. Eventually one by one the smart eaters will resign and sooner or later the carnival salesmen will be left with nothing.

Again, there are less than a dozen eaters who really benefit fianancially by staying with MLE. The others who remain do so not for altruistic reasons, but because they love the affiliation and attention. After a few years I suspect that gets old too.

I like that too. No one owns Chip. Perhaps it’s the same for Sonya. If so, how nice. Does that mean I think she’s better off with the AICE as run by the current regime? A most definitive HELL NO! But they might be better off as true independents at some point in time.

Rhonda in some ways we must commend Mr Chapman for having the balls to start his own thing while the other helpless fools complain but do nothing to change the ifoce structure which stinks. If some of the eaters took the initiative in trying to to start their own eating league or just get a minor eating establishement to sponsor an event, it would get the wheels in motion. I think a handful would jump on board knowing that they would get alot more attention than being virtually ignored in the basement of the ifoce rankings

I’ve yet to figure out why the IFOCE has five Web sites when they have a hard enough time keeping one up to date.

At http://competitiveeatingevents.com, http://www.competitiveeatingnews.com , and http://www.competitiveeating.net , most of the stories are several months old. Also, on their flagship, http://www.ifoce.com , it used to be that when you clicked on the “Contests” link, you could find all the details of past contests (how the eaters finished and the amounts eaten). That’s not the case anymore.

My suggestion would be to have a single site: http://www.majorleagueeating.com , (since MLE is the new watchword) from which all the other information can be accessed. It might take a little work at first, but it surely would be much easier to maintain, through a single Web home page, a nice, informative 20-page site that is properly organized, versus what is presently occuring. You think?

As a user/visitor it’s frustrating having to visit five different sites, 80 % of which have outdated news and information.

Note: the links in the above post don’t work because the commas became part of them. But you get the point, I’m sure.

I Know: I do agree with you on that point about Mr. Chapman having the initiative to do something about the state of affairs in C.E. as a whole. He is also probably very fair and personable with other eaters in his organization, and if I were one of them I would defend him as many of them do. But I’m not and I don’t.
