Wing Bowl qualifying criteria loosened
After only 2 of the first 6 or 7 hopeful competitors successfully completed their qualifying stunts (and one of those two was Rich LeFevre) it appears that the degree of difficulty of the qualifying stunts has been loosened. A recent successful stunt involved eating a pound of cookie dough in four minutes and another required eating two meatball subs in five minutes.
Beautiful Brian Seiken has an article about the degree of difficulty for Wing Bowl 14 qualifying stunts.

I heard this morning that someone will be trying a more difficult stunt on 12/19. This person is ranked by the IFOCE.

That is so vague Bob. Now I am having all kinds of thoughts about many different things.

Let me just say that it is someone who is in the top 25, as ranked by the IFOCE. It will be a good show on 12/19.

Some random guy got 70 last night in the wing 5. He was looking strong. I think he’ll be giving any IFOCE eater a run for their money.

Joey bring your brother along just in case you cant finish the milk which i know you will . They are begging for contestants so if you have a problem at the end Lucky can finish the remainder and they will let the both of you in as tag team contestants like in wrestling.

This will probably sound dumb but, Do all the stunt have to be performed in studio. I can’t see flying out to qualify.

Not in studio, per se. I think Lefevre was in some Atlantic City casino when he ate the vienna sausages. But I bet you would have to be somewhere that the deejays could get to, or some staff, so they could broadcast.

I can’t see driving 4 hrs each way to qualify, successfully complete a difficult stunt, & get thrown out for a phony reason.
Bubbs you aint winnin’ anyway. If LeFevre’s denture don’t fall out, its his. Chesnut on the outside, if he can handle 30 minutes of eating, in about 50 minutes.
To answer your question though, the stunts do not have to be performed in studio, but they must be completed in the general area. ex. on location-The Borgata for LeFevre, Angelo’s tv show last year, college events this year. Should you qualify, I hope to be wrong regarding my prediction(s)

As far as I know they have to be performed in studio, but you can always ask!

You will be surprised that some people will drive 4 hours and back because they have no life other than eating

Someone did one hell of a stunt today in the studio. If I didn’t see it with my own eyes…
